More M&a Birthdays

While everyone in our M&a offices are still working hard, we can't forget that it's nearing the end of the year and there are many celebrations to enjoy. Danielle, Aaron and Sherin from our Singapore office have just turned 18 - meaning they can finally enjoy an alcoholic beverage. Cheers to that!

Karen was in Singapore this week so the team celebrated by enjoying some Salted Egg Yolk Pork Ribs, Crab Meat Omelette and Wasabi Prawns. Any excuse to celebrate!

M&a's Creative Department Heads to Melbourne

Last Friday Sydney's creative team (Richie, Mark, Catherine, Luke and Nick) attended the Create Awards Ceremony in Melbourne.

The Awards showcased some of Australia's leading design talent with categories for Print, Interactive, Illustration, Motion, Packaging, Typography, Website, Photography and Identity Design.

The overall winner was an Identity Design for an art installation event in Melbourne called 'Kubik'.

M&a Creative loved some of the animation, especially the pieces for Fox Classics that used bold, minimalist graphics to communicate classic films.

See some for yourself here: Link to Fox Classics: https://vimeo.com/33951933

They were also struck by some of the typographic work - Josip Kelava's 'Metropolis 1920' was particularly beautiful and won the Award for Typography.

The team was impressed by some great design work but it would have been nice to have a little more background on the work we saw or to know the Single Minded Proposition (SMP).

Over the weekend the team had time to wander Melbourne's graffitied laneways, eat delicious Japanese food, visit the Australian Centre for The Moving Image and peruse the shops of Brunswick Street. Melbourne charmed and inspired us with her culture, food, shopping, great bars and chilled-out vibe.
